NewsTrade Shows MD&M and IPC (01-21-2012)Micron Laser Technology Will be exhibiting at MD&M West (Booth #1274) Feb 14th - 16th at the Anaheim Convention Center. MLT will also exhbit at the IPC APEX show (Booth #2308) in San Diego from Feb 28th - Mar 1st. Call us for a free entrance to the show coupon!! New 200W Fiber Laser, Broadens Process Capability of Material Thickness (01-21-2012) Micron Laser adds new fiber laser with a spot sizes less than 20um. The cutting process head and average power significantly increases process speeds and material thickness netting increased capability at a lower cost to our customers. The fiber laser has single mode delivery operating at 1080nm wavelength for increased precision cutting of thicker materials and potential welding applications. Once limited to processing metals and alloys under 20mils in thickness, the integration of the fiber laser allows superior cutting of metals with 5 times the thickness. The system also has height sensing in the 'Z'-axis for precise focus location applications that require adjustment to variation in product height or material topography. New Laser Marker (03-31-2011) We have just added to our Laser capabilities by adding a new marking platform. Aluminum, Steel, Glass, Ceramics, Petroleum based products and more are all possible this new tool. We still do our traditional Laser Etch process for those who need a mark that is almost indestructible. Our new annealing laser gives a more crisp and artful look to your marking needs. Ask for your samples today to see if we have what you need for your projects! ITAR Registered!! (June 2010) Micron Laser Technology has received ITAR registration. Micron Laser Technology is complelled to meet the needs of our customers and shoulder our responsibility in export controls as associated with national security. Pursuant to 22 CFR 122, all manufacturers of defense articles and providers of defense services are required to be registered with the U.S. Directorate of Defense Trade Controls as governed by the Arms Export Control Act. Laser Welding Available (07-15-2010) Micron Laser Technology now has laser welding capabilities for metals and plastics. Our 50 watt Nd/Yag laser welder can produce up to 100 welds per second via fiber optic beam delivery in metals of .015" in thickness or less. Medical applications include orthopedic implants, rapid prototyping, MEMS, and cardiovascular devices to name a few. 266nm Laser Capabilities (08-01-2008) Micron Laser Technology announces the addition of a new 266nm wavelength laser system. This technology investment exemplifies our commitment to advancing our customer's technology roadmaps and market position. With a 12.5um beam diameter, we have improved our positional and dimensional tolerances and advanced our customers in drilling circuit boards and silicon, cutting sapphire substrates for optoelectronic devices, micro machining various metals for medical/electronic devices, and laser ablating solar cells. |
